








Christian Lacroix opened its first US stores in 2006 and 2008, in Las Vegas and New York respectively, and hired lilo to design promotional materials for both openings. To reflect the mix of modern and eclectic style in the Las Vegas store, where slick modern surfaces pair with French Baroque details, the presskit for the Vegas opening was made of shiny red stock and embossed with the floral pattern from textiles of the season. The invitation and menus for the New York opening use the designer's collection sketches as their primary image. These sketches carry the bold color use and theatricality of his work, while the silver embossed text communicates the elegance of the formal reception and dinner.
