Cygnet Foundation is a not-for-profit public foundation that raises funds for philantrophic work through art-related programs. lilo studio worked specifically with the Cygnet Foundation Book Division, in collaboration with Julia Leavitt Balfour, to design Full of Grace. The book traces the cultural, political and artistic development of children and youth over the past 150 years through photographic images and text. We designed the book with a restrained grid and a mix of classic and contemporary typefaces that reflect the range of imagery in the book- from antique daguerrotypes to full-color digital photographs.
